Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of medical terminology. A minimum of a degree/diploma/certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, Occupational Health Nursing, Disability Management or related discipline from a recognized Post -Secondary Institution. Experience in a claims, insurance or rehabilitation environment along with experience in interpretation or application of policy. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Knowledge of physical demands required for health care positions to develop return to work plans that maximize the workers functional abilities.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Excellent attendance record. Exceptional communication and customer service skills with a strong ability to work as a team member and build internal and external stakeholder relationships is required.


Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred (health experience an asset). A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Experience in interpretation or application of legislation would be preferred.
