Completion of an Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) approved program. Active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six months from the application date.
Additional Required Qualifications:Candidate must be able to travel on short notice, including overnight travel and out of town. Candidate must be able to be around emergencies with sick or injured patients and must be able to treat them. Candidate will be around Emergency rooms, in hospitals and exposed to bodily fluids from trauma. Candidate must be able to frequently lift heavy items to 80 lbs. Candidate must be able to occasionally lift heavy items to 105 lbs. as per the F.A.R.E. test requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to candidates with previous VESST and/or EMS experience. Preference is given to candidates with previous warehouse experience and vehicle detailing experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of six months experience using the Fleet Management Software (Holman) and Fleet Ticket Management Program (FEMS).
