Bachelor’s degree in a related health services field. Minimum three (3) years recent experience in an operational leadership role. Five years recent experience with demonstrated clinical competence.
Additional Required Qualifications:Progressive experience in a health care environment. Uses strategic thinking, taking into account long-term goals assessing options and implications. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources within a complex environment. Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and highly motivated Strong organizational skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing long-term quality services. Experience in collaborating with physicians and other stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as demonstrated effective problem solving. Demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Proven ability to foster partnerships, achieve organizational goals and manage within a unionized environment. Discretion with sensitive situations, data and personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:Masters level preparation in nursing or leadership would be an asset. Experience leading healthcare teams & providing innovative solutions to complex system issues. Proven coaching skills to support team members to reach their full potential. Ability to work hard and contribute to a dynamic, successful healthcare team. Management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Emergency Department operations
