Active registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). - BCLS- HCP required. - The candidate must have the physical capability to perform all aspects of the role, including the ability to lift up to and including 50 lbs. - Basic computer skills required. - Strong leadership and critical thinking skills, demonstrated by the ability to direct other healthcare workers, problem solve and escalate clinical concerns in a timely and appropriate manner. - The position requires strong oral and written communication and demonstrated organizational skills. - Commitment to patient and family centered care and staff engagement. - Demonstrated ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with patients, families and team members. Responsible to provide proof of active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses (CARNA) and to maintain registration throughout the duration of employment.
Additional Required Qualifications:Progressive leadership experience and skills, including demonstrated ability with decision making responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to manage change and establishing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communicator with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills. Strong commitment to patient and family centered care and providing quality services. A demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development appropriate to this position.
Preferred Qualifications:A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred. - Previous Management or Formal Leadership is preferred. - Minimum 1 to 2 years of Neurosciences experience preferred. Minimum 2 years of Charge Nurse Experience preferred. - Experience with change management is preferred.
