Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in a relevant regulated health related profession. Registration with the appropriate professional college in the Province of Alberta. Leadership experience.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of five years recent and relevant clinical and/or supervisory and/or leadership experience in the areas of addiction, concurrent disorders, mental health and mental illness. Experience in working in a management role and/ or in the supervision of personnel with demonstrated supervisory/leadership skills and expertise. Demonstrated strong clinical knowledge and skills in the areas of addiction, mental health and mental illness, along with consistent efforts to maintain a high quality of client focused care and service. Demonstrated success in providing services in inpatient/community/rural/remote settings. Demonstrated experience in program development and evaluation. Demonstrated ability to manage the budget for program area. Ability to lead front line staff in the analysis and resolution of challenging client care issues. Addresses staffing issues as they pertain to clinical functioning. Effective interpersonal relationship building skills, including conflict resolution. Strong problem solving and decision making skills. Crisis management and emergency response skills. Organization, planning, program, protocol, procedure development and implementation skills. Accurate computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Internet). Class 5 driver's license or non GDL.


Preferred Qualifications:

Change management and/or project management training.
