Required Qualifications:

Active registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). BCLS-HCP certification required. A minimum of 5 years Emergency Nursing experience is required along with a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing. Must have at least 2 years of most recent experience in Emergency Nursing. A minimum of 1-2 years supervisory experience is required; management experience preferred. A combination of experience and education may be considered. The successful applicant will have a positive and enthusiastic attitude with a proven record of demonstrating skills in leadership, developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships and team building; as well as organizational, analytical judgment, change management and decision-making skills; effective oral and written communication skills. Candidate must have the ability to manage a heavy workload and work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Must have the ability to function as a team member. Computer skills in Microsoft Office, VAX and e-People.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to community care options and discharge planning an asset.
