Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.

Additional Required Qualifications:

High School Graduate (Grade 12) is required. Graduate from a recognized Unit Clerk course, including medical terminology, or equivalent and/or acceptable previous experience is required. Preference will be given to applicants with recent Connect Care experience. Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Unit Clerk position (acute care setting preferred, preference will be given to those with Emergency experience). Connect Care training with ED clerk role access preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year experience working with computers and applications such as Office and Excel. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Proven organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work with minimal direction. Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the department.
