Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 year recent experience in a Unit Clerk position, preference will be given to those with recent experience in an ambulatory care setting. Basic typing skills with a minimum of 1 year recent experience utilizing computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Education and recent experience utilizing Connect Care – trained in scheduling and EMR (Ambulatory application).
Preferred Qualifications:Strong critical thinking skills, along with demonstrated time-management and organizational skills, in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, and work with frequent interruptions. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written). Experience working with sensitive and confidential information in a responsible and ethical manner.
