Your Opportunity:
Under the supervision of Leduc Community Hospital (LCH) Managers, the Administrative Support IV serves as a liaison between LCH and Staffing Services Centre. The Administrative Support Liaison will work collaboratively with the Staffing Service Center to update Environment for Scheduling Personnel (ESP) with any schedule changes and inform the other party as per established ESP timelines. The Liaison is responsible for communicating any staffing changes requiring adding or removing shifts from the console within the immediate needs window. The Liaison will meet weekly with Managers and Staffing Services Center to review outstanding shifts, hot spots, assignments, vacancy and leave reports. The Liaison is responsible for timekeeping tasks including the review of timecards, flowsheet and entry of bank payouts in timecards. The Liaison will also assist the Managers with the coordination of vacation requests and mutual agreements as well as assisting with communication to staff. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Courteous and pleasant telephone manners and proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision required. Proven reliability and dependability required and the ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment while adapting to frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. Responsibilities may also include helping with office duties such as laminating, preparing educational packages, answering phones and faxing as needed.
Description:
As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
