Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Medical terminology essential. Proficient computer skills required. Ability to work in a highly stressful, dynamic environment required. Able to prioritize work and cope with frequent interruptions. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills required. Must be flexible & adaptable towards change. Demonstrated strength in developing collaborative, effective working relationships with clients of cultural and socio-economic diversity.
Preferred Qualifications:Two years minimum experience as a Unit Clerk in an Acute Care facility/ER &/or outpatient clinic preferred. Recent experience (within the last year) working as a Clerk in the Urgent Care setting preferred. Current NVCI training preferred. Current experience working with MUSE, Approach and Netcare is highly desirable. Current experience working with Connect Care (EPIC) is strongly preferred.
