Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 years’ experience in a ambulatory unit clerk position. Completion of a relevant certificate, degree, or training program (such as a Unit Clerk program or Medical Office Assistant program). Proficiency with general computer programs (such as Word, Outlook, and Excel). Extensive experience in the use of computer programs, graphic packages, database management and other associated software functions. Connect Care scheduling, workqueue and referral experience. Experience with the Connect Care informatics system (ideally with roles including schegistrar, medical office assistant, referrals coordinator, and template builder). Strong multi-tasking ability. Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced, time-sensitive organization. The ability to sit and complete computer work for extended periods of time. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support-Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. The ability to complete tasks independently-,with minimal supervision and prioritize workload. Experience handling confidential and sensitive information is required. Strong independent problem solving skills and attention to detail required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience processing referrals. Conflict Resolution training and experience an asset.
