Undergraduate Nurse
Your Opportunity:
Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre has an opportunity for an Undergraduate Nurse Employee (UNE) to join our team. As a UNE at our rural hospital, you will work primarily in acute care which includes a 19-bed acute care unit and an 18-bed combined acute/transition unit. As an UNE working at our facility, you will be a vital part of our collaborative health care team. Previous experience will be valuable in transitioning to the Rural Nurse role; however, you will be provided with mentorship and education opportunities to increase competence and confidence in the rural Registered Nurse role. You will be expected to provide safe and competent care to our patients in a collaborative, family centered care approach. As a member of our team, you will be flexible in what area of the hospital you work in as priorities will change rapidly between each unit. Ponoka, which means Elk in Blackfoot serves a large First Nations community. Our town is located along Highway 2 in the Battle River Valley within an hour drive to major cities. Our community provides a great opportunity for families, adventurists, and people wanting a rural life.
