Required Qualifications:

A minimum of one to three years’ experience in Human Resources, Training, Adult Education; ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. A minimum of three years’ experience with instructional design models (such as the ADDIE model) used to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs and materials. Ability to transpose complex information into easily understood terms that supports various learning styles. Experience with curriculum and course development for both in-person and eLearning delivery. Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective training in both virtual and in-class settings. Solid understanding of adult learning principles and ability to adapt training and facilitation style to a varied audience. Excellent communication and organizational skills required.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to learn, retain and deliver a broad scope of HR system and procedure information. Previous experience in a PeopleSoft or other Human Capital Management (HCM) system. Strong attention to detail focusing on being consistent, thorough, and accurate. Professional writing skills and ability to produce high quality training and resource materials. Ability to develop, maintain and manage collaborative working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues. In accordance with Health Information Act (HIA), Freedom of Information and Privacy (FOIP) and other privacy legislation in effect, the incumbent shall comply at all times with APL / AHS’s Information Privacy and Information Security policies.


Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of three years’ experience in training course development and delivery. Instructional Design and course development experience, particularly related to technical systems and processes. Understanding and knowledge of Collective Agreements. Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, including MS PowerPoint, MS Teams and MS Word. Experience with eLearning development and tools is an asset.
