Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary diploma in a related field.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post secondary education in business or education supplemented with specific training/courses (i.e. environmental services, infection control, management & WHMIS) required. Preference will be given to internal applicants with a minimum of 3 years recent experience in environmental services or related industry and 2 years in a trainer/facilitator position in a large institution (preferably health care). Proficient use of computer software applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, presentation software, e-mail (Outlook) and the internet are required. Demonstrated leadership abilities including strong written and oral communication skills are essential. Equivalencies will be considered. All new employees will be required to attend a 2-day Environmental Services Orientation and a 1- day AHS Orientation. Multi-site travel may be required. All sites include Royal Alexandra Hospital, Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, Cross Cancer Institute, Kaye Edmonton Clinic, and all Suburban facilities surrounding the Edmonton Zone.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to those applicants that have previous experience within environmental services, in a hospital or institution, as well as extensive knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses. A combination of education, training and relevant experience, including customer-service experience, may be considered. Previous experience delivering training modules to diverse workgroups is considered an asset.
