Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Unit Manager, Give Life Alberta North, the incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the Quality Assurance program within the Global Quality Assurance Portfolio. This includes ensuring regulatory compliance, documentation maintenance, inspections, audits, SOPs, archiving, standardization of provincial quality assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines, and quality improvement reports. Assists with the Regional Operating Room Quality Assurance Program in auditing ORs in the province and supporting resources for ORs. Participates in all aspects of the quality assurance program within Give Life Alberta and provides cross-coverage to other departments as required by management.

Description:

As a Tissue Specialist III, you will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the Quality Assurance Program. This includes documentation maintenance, inspections of all equipment, audit records, managing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), pre-printed labels, archived material, donor record management and documentation and resolution of quality improvement reports.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate from a health sciences degree program, or related field.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of five years' experience in Quality Assurance. Experience with SOP development, document control systems, or quality management systems. Strong understanding of quality management principles, document control, and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree.
