Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program with a Major in Speech Language Pathology Assistant. Equivalent training may be considered. Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal/public relations skills are required as are excellent communication skills. CPR certification. Bending, lifting, twisting, reaching and play with children in an active setting are part of the role. In accordance with Health Information Act (HIA), Freedom of Information and Privacy (FOIP) and other privacy legislation in effect, the incumbent shall comply at all times with APL / AHS’s Information Privacy and Information Security policies.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous work experience in Pediatric Speech language pathology service delivery setting. Experience working in small groups or individually with children. Able to prioritize work. Able to be an effective team member. Strong commitment to customer service. Able to deal courteously and effectively with clients. Meditech training. Connect Care or experience working with an EMR.
