Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.

Additional Qualifications:

Graduation from a recognized Therapy Assistant Certificate, a Kinesiology Degree, or a Exercise Science program. Basic Computer skills required. Able to speak, read, and write English fluently. Experience working with elderly and/or disabled individuals necessary. Must be physically capable of lifting and transferring patients and equipment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and/or patients. Experience in outpatient setting, community, acute care and long-term care. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a good understanding of scope of practice. Excellent interpersonal skills and professional, courteous manner essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional computer skills an asset. Working knowledge of medical terminology an asset. Experience with exercise programs and modalities an asset.
