Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of Grade 12 diploma or equivalent education required. Postsecondary education in a recognized Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Assistant Program is required. Equivalences in education and experience may be considered. Ability to prioritize and organize workload with minimal direct supervision and incorporate creative problem solving is required. Effective written, verbal, communication, and computer skills are required. The successful incumbent will be capable of performing lifts, transfers, repositioning, and other physically demanding activities associated with this role. Availability to work 4-5 shifts per week, with potential for irregular shifts. Shifts may include days, evenings, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous working experience in a rehabilitation hospital is preferred. Experience with EMR/Connect Care considered an asset.
