Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent. Technical Skills: Experience with scripting languages. Intermediate knowledge of SQL programming. Understand the areas of application programming, as well as database and system design. Understand Internet and client/server architectures. Significant experience in developing a comprehensive testing strategy that includes manual and automated testing methods. Experience with analyzing, configuring, and implementing a test application suite from conceptualization to deployment. Experience with test tool configuration, administration, maintenance, and management. Experience with defining and developing a test automation framework. Experience with leading and coordinating team testing efforts to ensure that efforts are distributed as effectively as possible. Experience with designing effective manual and automated tests. Clear ability to identify risks in relation to gaps in test coverage. Communication and Professional Qualities: Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills. Facilitate effective team interactions. Generate enthusiasm among team members. Mentor those with less experience through informal channels.


Additional Qualifications:

Definition, Implementation and Management of Automated Testing: Experience with the Silk application suite. Designs and develops an automated testing framework and architecture, ensuring that automated testing best practices are incorporated throughout. Works closely with the technical team to incorporate automation into the comprehensive testing strategy. Automates test cases that are part of a continuous delivery workflow, while minimizing the need for manual test repetition. Develops automated tests that can be easily updated, configured, and reused. Implements continuous automated testing by defining nightly processes, and ensures that proper error logs are created and reviewed on a daily basis. Team Leadership, Coaching, and Guidance: Communicates formal testing strategies, coach’s staff to educate and adopt testing strategies, and guides testing teams in the implementation of testing strategies. Ensures that testing efforts are coordinated and distributed as effectively as possible. Manages all testing efforts, including test script updating, software testing, effort tracking, and issue tracking. Guides and mentors testers to write effective automated tests that are reliable and repeatable. Provides expertise and guidance to team members related to manual and automated testing best practices. Creates technical documentation to ensure that support and maintenance of the test management tool can be performed by all technical staff.
