Description:
Terminology standards are associated with the electronic capture, management, sharing and use of data within health records, safely and effectively supporting semantic interoperability. As a subject matter expert, this role is key to the implementation and operation of complex terminology products and services within health information systems. This role will focus on quality and data, from both the business and clinical perspectives, requiring comfort in understanding clinical practices and language, as well as analyzing and interpreting the subsequent digital data. As the lead of an innovate specialty, incumbents will be required to develop and implement new processes and workflows as part of the complete information/data lifecycle. This Senior Advisor will work with clinical, business, and technical stakeholders ensuring the clinical meaning and intent is appropriately translated into computer readable data (such as SNOMED CT and LOINC), then supporting stakeholders with functional reusability accurately and effectively. Effective terminology implementation and maintenance is necessary for high quality, point-of-care clinical data that seamlessly provides real-time clinical support, workflow efficiencies, clinical analytics, portable patient-centric data, and contributes to the future of evidence-based care. As a champion of the adoption of terminology and interoperability standards, this role will provide support and education to users and stakeholders as we continue to mature, grow, and develop the terminologies program.
