Rockyview General Hospital is looking for an experienced Temperature Control Mechanic. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled journeyperson to join the Facilities Maintenance team and provide a valuable service to the healthcare industry. The successful applicant must have a minimum of two years’ experience with commercial or industrial building ventilation as well as two years’ experience with the maintenance, programming, testing and troubleshooting of BMS systems (Honeywell and Siemens). An Alberta Journeyperson Instrument Mechanic ticket or 2-year diploma in instrumentation technology would be a strong asset. Completion of a post-secondary education in a related trade or technology program.
Additional Required Qualifications:An Electrician Journeyperson Certificate alone will not be accepted, Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance, programming, repair, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of BMS systems (Honeywell and Siemens) , instrumentation and control systems related to HVAC systems in industrial and institutional facilities. 2 years of experience in maintenance, programming, repair, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of Boiler and auxiliary equipment includes process control and burner management systems. Familiar with Preventive Maintenance programs. Read and interpret engineering and vendor drawings including OEM manuals, and blueprints. Knowledge of Health Care Building and Maintenance Standards. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System. Experience required with supervising multiple contractor disciplines and ensuring safe work practices are followed.
Preferred Qualifications:Alberta Journeyperson Instrument Mechanic with Red Seal Certification or 2-year diploma program in instrumentation technology.
