A Province of Alberta certification in an Mechanical or related trade, or a post-secondary education with a baccalaureate degree or technical diploma in a relevant engineering or technical program. A minimum of 10 years of related experience in progressively responsible engineering or technical positions with demonstrated management skills and abilities combined with a background in complex healthcare facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer or a Certified Engineering Technologist or equivalent within Alberta. Masters certificate in a relevant trade is considered an asset. Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance and building operations within a hospital setting. Experience in commissioning complex electrical and controls healthcare systems including integration testing with existing systems and total building integration testing the interoperability of various systems during failure and life safety events.
