Required Qualifications:

A minimum of post-secondary education with a baccalaureate degree or technical diploma in a relevant engineering or technical program. A minimum of 10 years of related experience in progressively responsible engineering or technical positions with demonstrated management skills and abilities combined with a background in complex facilities, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (healthcare experience an asset). A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Progressive leadership experience in an engineering or technical environment, including 5 years’ experience in a management role in related operations. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation & commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability & comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching & teaching, and the ability to inspire & build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to manage change & create innovative solutions for complex & diverse issues Ability to manage human, financial & physical resources within an operating environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization & ideally managing within a unionized sector. Strong track record in establishing & maintaining effective working relationships with internal & external stakeholders. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate & inspire other to achieve common goals. Excellent analytical & decision-making skills. Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long-term plans and projects & deliver customer-focused results. Ability to build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees & other partners.
