Completion of Grader 12 or equivalent.
Additional Qualifications:Medical Terminology course from a recognized training program. Minimum one year experience within the last 2 years in a hospital switchboard/call center. Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm. In addition, the incumbent will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: Excellent telephone skills. Critical thinking skills. Verbal and written English communication skills. Proficient with computer systems, including MS Office (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in the Calgary Zone Central Switchboard Department. Experience working with the public. Experience with Avaya Telephone equipment. Experience with Motorola Paging equipment.
