Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grader 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum one (1) year experience within the last 2 years in a switchboard/call center setting. Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm. Proficiency is required in the following areas: excellent telephone skills, critical thinking skills, verbal and written English communication skills. In addition the candidates selected for interviews will be required to pass a typing and medical abbreviation test prior to proceeding to the interview.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in the Calgary Zone Central Switchboard Department. Medical Terminology course from a recognized training program. Experience working with the public.
