Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program. Completion of an Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification or Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications:Excellent verbal communication skills working with a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work in an enclosed area that required the ability to stand for long periods at a time. The position requires frequent walking, bending, lifting and constant repetitive motions. Carrying weights of up to 20 lbs for small periods at a time is an expectation of this position. The position requires the frequent handling of chemicals and biohazard materials which will require the use of protective gear including mask, protective eyewear, gloves and clothing when working with these materials. Must be available to work Friday’s. The CCSC has Monday to Friday operating hours.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous surgical processor experience of 1-2 years is an asset.
