Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program. Completion of an Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification or Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must be knowledgeable and able to work in all aspects of decontamination, assembly, sterilization, instrumentation. Must be fully competent with Steris washers and sterilizers, and Trophon. Must read, comprehend, write and speak English fluently. Must have a minimum of one-year recent experience in MDR in an acute care hospital. Requires manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks using fine motor skills; must be in good health without limitation affecting standing and walking; must be able to lift 18 kilograms (40 lbs.) and push/pull carts weighing up to 114 kilograms (250 lbs.). Must be capable of continuous productivity in stressful situations. Ability to perform independently, showing sound judgment, flexibility and initiative. Ability to work closely with others in a cooperative manner. Must be service-oriented, reliable and pay attention to detail. Wear department PPE. Must be able to work in confined areas. Able to work through multiple interruptions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated proficiency and ability to rotate through all workstations. One year of orthopedic experience. Cataract experience.
