Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Experience in health care procurement and shipping/receiving processes.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent experience in an Ambulatory Care/Operating Room setting and experiencing with ordering and care of surgical equipment is required. Computer skills including: Data entry, MS Word, Excel, Oracle, MS office, Inter/Intranet navigation is required. Knowledge of various Ambulatory Care/Operating Room programs within the UAH. Knowledge of research tools, procurement, inventory control and maintenance processes for clinic and Minor Procedure equipment is required. Working knowledge of WHS Standards, i.e. CSA Standards and Health Canada Guidelines is required. Ability to comprehend medical terminology and interpret specific requirements for equipment and supplies required for the Ambulatory Care/Operating Room Portfolio. Working knowledge of clinical and minor procedure equipment for minor troubleshooting. Understanding of Infection Prevention. Understanding of customer relations role with respect to service orientation and conflict resolution. Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend instructions given in English. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with Management, Physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital associates. Ability to work on own initiative and motivation with limited supervision. Ability to prioritize workload, excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary education is an asset.
