Health Shared Services is currently looking for a Scheduling Shared Services Manager to lead their Red Deer Scheduling Service Centre team.
Description:
Reporting to the Director, Central Scheduling Shared Services, the Scheduling Shared Services Manager is accountable for performance results, organization and direction of the Scheduling Service Centre (SSC) in Red Deer. This position provides leadership to the SSC scheduling teams while fostering a positive work environment that is focused on serving its customers. The Scheduling Shared Services Manager works collaboratively with client leadership teams to provide strong leadership to our customers when implementing standardized scheduling processes and policies and resolving complex client issues. This position works closely with Scheduling Shared Services leadership and teams (including Business Operations Performance and Development, Rotation Services, Relief Workforce Services, Business Support Services, Scheduling System Support) in the day-to-day delivery of scheduling services within the zone. The Scheduling Services Manager identifies SSC staffing requirements and is responsible for recruitment, staff development, work assignments and performance management, as required, for positions within the SSC. This position is accountable for monitoring expenditures, reviewing financial statements and completing variance analysis documents to ensure the SSC operates within its allocated budget.

Baccalaureate degree in health-related field or Business Administration or Education. Minimum 5 years progressive leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a health management and/or unionized environment. Previous experience with staff scheduling and scheduling provisions, preferably using the Infor WFM scheduling application. Good understanding of regulatory legislation, AHS policies and procedures, and AHS standardized scheduling processes and timekeeping practices. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Significant experience in problem solving, facilitation, concerns resolution, investigation and negotiation. Knowledge of and experience in project planning and execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others.

Demonstrated ability to foster partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influencing skills and client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to interact with staff and leadership from various levels within the organization. Demonstrates a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
