Diploma or Degree in Health Care or Business Administration (High School Diploma, supplemented with leadership, management or supervisory courses will be considered). Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership position. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (verbally and written) with influence with frontline staff and various levels of leadership. Able to host regular staff meetings and be comfortable speaking to large groups of staff. Proficient typing and computer skills required (email, create documents using Word, create and updated spreadsheets using Excel, collaborate virtually using teams or similar platform). Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Physically capable to lift, push and pull 50lbs on a regular basis.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrates LEADs in a Caring Environment key skills, behaviours, and abilities. Client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Critical/Analytical thinking, problem solving, planning, developing others, change leadership, time management and organizational skills are needed. Accountability for people resource management, working within budgetary/financial objectives, and ensuring adherence to policy and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in managing unionized staff. Environmental Services, Infection prevention and control best practices and protocols (i.e., Surface cleaning and outbreak management) or similar experience. Central portering or similar logistical experience.
