Minimum of Grade 12, supplemented by supervisory related courses such as decision-making skills, communications and interpersonal skills, writing skills, time management skills, business administration, logistics, and supply chain and associated practical experience is essential. Completion of supervisory and customer service courses is a pre-requisite (e.g. Human Resources courses such as: decision making, negotiation, writing skills, public speaking, and attendance management). Leadership and Customer Service training, preferably with a proven track record in healthcare. Knowledge of VAX, Oracle, Logistics, Warehouse Management systems, and handheld devices. A strong and thorough working knowledge of PC’s in a Windows environment utilizing business applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Minimum of three years’ experience in customer service, logistics, supply chain functions and direct staff supervision is essential. Experience in dealing with a unionized environment is essential. Must demonstrate product knowledge and a strong understanding of an inventory storage and distribution environment. Previous experience working in a computerized, high volume distribution environment.
Additional Qualifications:
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with subordinates, peers and customers. Note: This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary degree in business or other related discipline. Experience in dealing within a multi-site environment and health care experience.
