Our team supports over 40 hospitals, homecare, public health and continuing care centers in the Calgary Zone by providing warehousing, receiving, shipping, supply cart management, replenishment and dock operations. We are involved in program and service planning, working closely with clinical staff on-site to ensure that the right supplies are readily available and stock levels are maintained for reduced wait times and in support of quality patient care. As a Stores I – Warehouse, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care by receiving incoming shipments and distributing goods. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day warehouse operations. You will replenish supply locations, prepare outgoing goods for shipments and maintain both, manual and electronic records of transactions. You will keep a clean, safe and organized work environment, communicate with customers and other departments and follow quality service standards and comply with procedures and policies.
Description:
As a Stores I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with AHS guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicates frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantity of supplies are available. In addition, you will track and report on inventory to ensure over stocking does not occur.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275 Kgs. Must be capable of walking and or standing for long periods of time. Must regularly use hand and arms to reach, lift, and carry heavy items up to 25 kg.
Additional Required Qualifications:Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven track record of reliable attendance. Proven ability to adhere to standards & procedures. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum one (1) year related experience in a warehouse environment. Material handling equipment certification. Knowledge of Oracle. Knowledge of health care supplies and equipment.
