Required Qualifications:

Active registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) – Healthcare Provider Registration. Minimum 5 years recent experience in an acute care setting. Previous experience in pediatrics and/or triage is an asset. At least 2 years supervisory or managerial experience, e.g. Charge Nurse Experience. Proven ability to prioritize and respond effectively to multiple simultaneous competing demands. Demonstrated ability to act independently within established guidelines and protocols. Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse array of staff and health care professionals. Excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate in Nursing. Strong problem-solving skills. Proven effective leadership skills. Proven conflict management skills. Prior experience with balancing patient acuity and staffing levels. Working knowledge of computer applications including proficiency in Microsoft office.
