Required Qualifications:

Master’s in theology and /or Spirituality/Religion or a clinically related field with confirmation of educational equivalency obtained from the Academic Assessment Committee of the National Professional Association (Canadian Association for Spiritual Care/Association canadienne de soins spirituels CASC/ACSS). 2nd Advanced Level, Clinical Psychospiritual Education (CPE and/or Psychospiritual Therapist Education PTE). Associate member of CASC/ACSS. Current membership with The Association of Counseling Therapy (ACTA), or equivalent. Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification is required, as part of employment.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Your quality of work must meet departmental and organizational expectations. Demonstrated clarity in your communication, organization and consistency of ideas, both verbally and written, including clinical documentation, is required. Must be a highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude whose work aligns with AHS Values. Able to act quickly and decisively using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Able to utilize strong judgment by analyzing facts, considering the impact, and arriving at a sound conclusion, seeking counsel when appropriate. Strong collaboration and consultation skills. You can work independently & as a part of the team creating strong, effective interpersonal working relationships with peers and other caregivers. Basic computer skills are a must.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a hospital setting preferred. Understanding of provision of Spiritual Care within a public health setting, particularly AHS is an asset.
