Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Active Heart and Stroke Foundation BLS certification Minimum three (3) years within the last five (5) years in clinical experience in inpatient or outpatient acute care or rehabilitation setting Experience in the past twelve (12) months with referral triage and caseload management Five (5) years clinical experience in an inpatient or outpatient acute care or rehabilitation area Two (2) years oncology and/ or palliative experience Ability to independently perform videofluroscopic swallow studies (VFSS) (e.g. modified barium swallow) and/ or fiberoptic endscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) MBSImP training Experience working with Therapy Assistants Experience in program development, evaluation and best practice implementation Physically demanding position requires repetitive lifting, transferring of patients and or equipment as well as prolonged sitting, keyboarding/computer and headset use.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work within a patient-centered, interdisciplinary team of health care professionals Knowledge of Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) Effective self-management and time management skills paired with initiative Professional development in last year related to rehabilitation oncology Experience using virtual patient care (phone/Zoom/Telehealth) Intermed - advanced computer skills: Netcare, Microsoft Office and EMR (EPIC/ARIA)
