Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Consideration will be given to qualified Master's prepared candidates from the other clinical rehabilitation disciplines. The successful candidate must have in-depth clinical knowledge and skill specific to their respective disciplines in the area of adult rehabilitation services. The incumbent is expected to work, adapt, and respond within a complex everchanging environment, employing problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills while working independently. The successful candidate must be an effective oral and written communicator with strong assessment, organizational, problem solving and counselling skills. Strong interpersonal skills are required including the ability to develop both collegial and therapeutic relationships and the ability to navigate sensitive situations. Receptive to receiving and providing constructive feedback. Strong customer service focus while supporting a broad spectrum of internal and external customers/stakeholders. Must be able to work both independently and as part of various teams. Must possess a sound understand of community rehabilitation services and the social determinants of health. Sound knowledge of computer applications including basic word processing, email, virtual health platforms, and electronic/EMR is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a rehabilitation clinician working in the community providing services to the adult population is preferred. Experience with Connect Care and/or EMR is considered an asset. Training and experience in implementing Health Change Methodology™ principles is an asset.
