Completion of master's degree in Social Work. (equivalent education or experience may be considered). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current CPR (BLS - Health Care Provider Level C) certification. Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience. Authorized by ACSW to provide psychosocial interventions. Current knowledge and experience using of a range of clinical modalities including individual, family & group intervention, with advanced clinical skills in family therapy. Working knowledge of DSM V. Working knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care principles. Strong assessment, formulation, diagnosis and treatment skills. Good understanding of health promotion and determinants of health, including theory, knowledge and practice. Recent experience in working with patients/families facing chronic and/or life threatening illnesses.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with patients with renal disease. Social Work experience in an acute care hospital. Working knowledge of computers and clinical documentation processes an asset. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training (will be required for successful candidate). Experience with program planning and evaluation. Member of the Canadian Association of Nephrology Social Workers (will be required for successful candidate).
