Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Social Work. (equivalent education or experience may be considered). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Relevant clinical therapy experience working with children, youth & families with complex developmental, medical and emotional issues associated with child maltreatment. Demonstrated understanding of family centered care principles & the application of family centered care within the context of clients that have experienced child maltreatment. Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a variety of therapeutic modalities such as CONNECT; Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT); Circle of Security – Parent (COS-P); EMDR; Problematic Sexual Behaviour – CBT and Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI). Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to work independently as well as within a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to manage a diverse & heavy workload and ability to meet timelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a multidisciplinary health care setting. Experience with child welfare / child protection. Knowledge and understanding of family dynamics in child maltreatment. Understanding of the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) framework and completion of TF-CBT online training. Experience facilitating group treatment. Knowledge and experience in providing testimony for court.
