Master's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pediatric social work, in an acute health care setting. Formal training and demonstrated ability to deliver trauma–informed interventions and crisis interventions. Formal training and demonstrated experience supporting families through grief and loss. Demonstrated experience with the intersection of child welfare and medical Social Work to address child maltreatment and neglect. Advanced interpersonal and communication skills and advanced clinical intervention including counselling or therapy for a range of complex and multidimensional patient and family needs. Demonstrated ability to use an integrated case management approach to provide advanced clinical intervention, follow up and coordination of services. Demonstrated skills in formal counselling interventions.
