Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in social work (equivalent education or experience may be considered). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be completed annually. Experience working with clients/families affected by brain injury, stroke within the last 5 years. Experience and advanced skill in providing counselling therapy to individuals and families. Intermediate computer and cell phone skills including the use of Microsoft office and Connect Care. Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation. Demonstrated strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate and function effectively within a patient and family centered team of health care professionals and support staff. Proven initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and be creative.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in neuro rehabilitation within the last 5 years. Experience working with clients/families in a community or home setting. Demonstrated continuing education or research in the area of neuro rehabilitation. Experience providing group teaching or education. Participation in or leading quality improvement projects.
