Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification is required. Possess experience working in emergency or critical care. This position supports both the Stollery Emergency Department and UAH Adult Emergency Department. Experience with trauma informed care, pediatric and adult Addictions and Mental Health, and Child and Family services are required. You possess proven communication skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with the health care team members, patients and their families in a fast-paced environment. Strong professional judgment, initiative, and effective time management skills are necessary. You are able to work with relevant software tools. Demonstrated clarity in your verbal and written communication including clinical documentation is required. You will be a highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude whose work aligns with AHS Values. You are able to act quickly and decisively using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You can work independently and as a part of the team creating strong, effective interpersonal working relationships with peers and other caregivers. You are a reliable worker who uses time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience in acute care. Experience working in emergency health care and inpatient setting preferred. Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative partnerships and relationships quickly. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are preferred. Familiarity with Netcare, Connect Care and/or principles of electronic documentation are preferred. Master's Degree is an asset.
