Your Opportunity:
The Addiction Recovery Center (ARC) is a voluntary medical detoxification program that supports a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals experiencing withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs. Reporting to the Care Manager, the Social Worker functions in the context of a multi-disciplinary team that provides quality, client focused, recovery based, concurrent capable, culturally appropriate care to those seeking assistance/services. The Social Worker II plans and implements interventions based upon identified needs. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in assessment, consultation, referral, and treatment. The Social Worker II will address any social concerns and work collaboratively with others in Addiction and Mental Health or community agencies.
Description:
As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Your services may include: psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
