Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 year experience working in an acute care or community setting. Minimum 1 year working with clients or patients who experience substance use disorders and/or homelessness. Demonstrated knowledge of Harm Reduction principles. Demonstrated knowledge of Calgary Zone community resources. Demonstrated strong assessment and intervention skills. Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize competing demands. Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated effective collaboration within a team environment. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience in acute care. Recent experience working with community agencies for housing, income and identification purposes, and with marginalized populations. Ability to form relationships with community partners for health and social needs. Demonstrated knowledge of Alberta Government social supports application processes. Current BCLS – HCP, NVCI, and Connect Care training.
