Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with vulnerable populations and individuals with substance use disorder and mental health concerns. The successful candidate demonstrates clinical skills in assessment, intervention, systems navigation and case management. Knowledge of, and ability to apply the principles of trauma informed care in all interactions with clients. Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills are required as is a demonstrated knowledge of community resources and the ability to collaborate with community partners. The successful applicant is a proactive individual needing to work professionally in a collaborative, fast-paced, positive team environment that requires excellent assessment, prioritization, conflict resolution, critical thinking and decision-making. Required understanding and dedication to practice utilizing harm reduction. Given there may be the need to respond to clinic emergencies, completion of non-violent crisis intervention course (NVCI) or registration into course upon hire is required as is Suicide Prevention training. Ability to mobilize quickly, physically respond to client emergencies including walking and stairs.
