Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years SW experience with acute mental health preferably in a community setting. An understanding of the impact of trauma on substance misuse and mental health concerns. Excellent crisis intervention skills and ability to triage priorities. An excellent attendance record, reliability, adaptability and flexibility must be demonstrated through your employment references. Reliable vehicle. This position often works outside of the office so must be able to walk distances on uneven terrain, carry objects and navigate stairs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal training in Trauma Informed Care. Solid understanding of social systems in Red Deer. Excellent interpersonal communication and time management skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team.
