Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of professional Social Work experience. This position requires a high degree of independence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, an ability to prioritize workload. Knowledge and ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook and Teams is highly recommended. Previous experience working in the health care system.
Preferred Qualifications:Prior working knowledge of Legislation including Children First Act, Child Youth and Family Enhancement Act, Family Act, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in an interdisciplinary team is preferred. Understanding and ability to support issues of grief, parental loss, miscarriage and knowledge of relevant resources. Working knowledge of benefit programs including Child Health Benefit, Income Support, NIHB Programs, FSCD, Jordan's Principle, etc.
