Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have at least 2 years' experience in an acute care hospital of significant size, experience working in women’s health, physical medicine and have excellent knowledge of community resources in Lethbridge and area. The social worker must demonstrate strong organizational, critical thinking, problem solving assessment and intervention skills. Experience working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team is required, and the candidate will have proven communication skills to work cooperatively and effectively with the health care team members, patients and their families in a fast-paced environment. Strong professional judgment, initiative, and effective time management skills are necessary. The ability to work with various computer programs and systems is a requirement.
