Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse program. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) Certificate. Registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA), College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA), College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

RPSGT designation and registration with the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists required. A successful applicant who does not have current RPSGT designation will be required to obtain the RPSGT designation and registration with the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists within 3 months of obtaining the number of sleep lab practice hours required by the BRPT for RPSGT credentialing pathway 2.

Preferred Qualifications:

RRT designation preferred. Current RPSGT designation preferred. Current BRPT registration preferred. Previous experience performing level 3 HSAT sleep studies preferred. Previous experience performing Level 1 polysomnographic studies preferred. Competency in application and titration of positive airway pressure therapy preferred.
