Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse program. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) Certificate. Registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA), College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA), College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Working knowledge of cardiovascular, respiratory, and sleep anatomy and physiology required. A working knowledge of Connect Care, Netcare, Outlook and Word as well as other applications is required. Must have excellent communication and documentation skills, and the ability to participate as an interdisciplinary team member. Physical ability to perform CPR on Adult Clients is required -able to lift and carry 10-15 kg regularly able to participate and perform hands on care of patients (i.e., transfers, bariatric client assistance) and to fulfill job requirements including but not limited to reaching above shoulders and looking up frequently, extended periods of keyboarding, walking distances and standing for prolonged periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven ability to identify sleep disorders through the analysis of the sleep study. Knowledge of all types of sleep disorders and their relevance to patient population. Knowledgeable about CPAP, BiPAP, ASV, and Oxygen titrations.
