Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Current Basic Life Support certification. Experience working with geriatric clientele is a definite asset. Experience working with mental health clientele is a definite asset. Must have familiarity with Microsoft Suite. Psychiatric Aide or Health Care Aide Certificate; a combination of education and experience may be considered. Two to three years working in a community-based health care setting. You will be required to transport clients in your personal vehicle. You may be required to transport equipment including, but not limited to, mobility aides such as a walker or wheelchair, respiratory support equipment etc.
Preferred Qualifications:Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Ability to participate as a member of the health care team. Ability to relate to clients with physical needs and concurrent mental health diagnoses. Driving knowledge of the City of Edmonton and outlying areas. Flexibility to relate to and anticipate changing client needs. Well-developed reasoning, problem-solving skills, and time management skills. Works well under direction.
